Greetings Members!

Don’t miss your chance to soda fire & camp at a great price! If you have not made your reservation & you wish to attend, e mail me with your address & phone number immediately! We have two camp sites reserved at Ft. Ebey State Park May 29th & 30th, not to mention, it’s only $45.00! How can you pass this up??? There are also a few spots left in the wood fire!

Please mark your calendars for the next Big Shebang on May 21 featuring the tool mastery of Allison Moore. In addition to great company & good food we will have our new WCA T-shirts available at the special rate of $10.00 each. After this date the price will be $15.00. I hope many of you will take advantage of this very affordable special offer! There will be a board meeting at 6 pm (prior to the Shebang) & all are welcome to attend.

Application forms for the WCA Annual Show at Artstop are included in this issue. The deadline is about three months away (Aug. 8)! I am pleased to report that we have started a new column in our newsletter Past Presidents Speak. A dialogue with past presidents of the WCA, so that as we progress we don’t forget and we might just learn a thing or two. See our first contribution in the WCA Newsletter with the very first president of the WPA: Comador Stuart!

If anyone has photos or a story to contribute to this column, or our archive, we could use your help to rediscover our past.

You should have all received your membership cards by now. We have recently set a system in place where, when an individual joins our club they receive a welcome packet from our Membership Secretary (Jennifer Steinbeck-Scott) in the mail. This will include: a confirmation letter, a membership card & a newsletter. We are sure this will make our new members feel informed & welcome. Thanks Jen!
