Hello everyone!
We are the Washington Clay Arts association, the WCA. We have officially changed our name, opening our doors to all clay arts. Our Mission continues to be an educational network promoting clay arts. We are slipping and scoring the clay world together. Check the website for calendars of events and more! To you new members -welcome!

This year we have coordinated two jury shows, hosted four artists’ slide presentations, three clay demonstrations, two social parties and one heck of a 25th Anniversary year! Now we are looking towards 2009 our schedule. Our first event is the winter social to be held on January 11th at 3 pm. Not to be missed! The social starts with our legendary pot luck dinner followed by a general election of new officers and finishes with a lively clay art gift exchange, white elephant rules but with a choice gift to be exchanged. Fun for all! Mark your calendar and stay tuned for the location.

We are currently looking for volunteers for 2009. If you are interested in any of the following please give me a shout:

• Membership Secretary- coordinates members list
• Graphic designer- assist in name change/new look
• Newsletter staff- writers, cartoonists, mailing assistants
• Gallery liaison/Show coordinators- 2009/2010 shows
• Grant writer/funds raiser- for a scholarship program
